Honda VFR

R&G Rollbars

Had to drill through the fairing to install these and use a jack to elevate the engine by a millimeter or two to slide the bar though the engine mounts. Definitely gave me pause ....but I persevered and they turned out pretty well.

Valve Stem

It's the little things, right?  A right angled valve stem which stands out.  I added this stem when I bought the new Michelin Road 5's for the bike.  I wanted it to stand out because searching for my valve stem frustrates me and now it's,...art.

Muffler

The bike came with a giant chrome OEM muffler. I don't like the appearance of chrome - so it had to go. I still have it and it's got about 850 miles on it in total so, it looks brand new for a future sale on ebay. The SC Project muffler is about one third the weight, 50 times better looking and shows off the beautiful single sided swing arm. It sounds good too - not too loud, not too quiet.

Tidy Tail

There is no aftermarket tail tidying accessory for the 8th generation Honda VFR. So, I bought a Tail Tidy bracket for a VFR1200.  As you might expect it doesn't fit out of the box so, I had to grind a steel tab off to make it fit the 800.  The bracket came in brushed stainless steel. I spray painted it black - that way, it wouldn't look like an 'add on' but rather an intentional Honda OEM design for the 800.
